Sightseeing around Dubai

My nephew arrived in Dubai on Christmas Eve, the same day we returned back from our short visit to Cape Town, my hometown.

I managed to throw together an itinerary for him of the "must-see" places around the emirate. After Christmas lunch, we decided to go and walk off the lunch calories around JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence). The weather was perfect for an evening stroll along The Beach, where lots of families were about enjoying the cool weather Dubai has to offer at this time of the year.

We browse around the abundance of little food stalls and shops around The Beach and admired the beautifully decorated streets.

Home visit to Cape Town

After nearly a year away from home, we finally got to get a dose of my beautiful hometown, Cape Town, South Africa. We had a pleasant flight and arrived in all ready to see the family and catching up.

We headed over to our favourite family hangout, Primi Piatti, Muizenberg. The weather was good apart from the infamous wind to sweep the shores of the peninsula. We managed to be perfectly sheltered in our spot and the kids could enjoy playing around in the sand. If you are in the area and are looking for a family friendly stop in, look no further than Primi Piatti. They offer great indoor and outdoor entertainment for the kids while you are enjoying your meal.

This location is also very well known for its surfing community with the beach strip boasting plenty of surf shops and places to hire your sup gear from. So if you are looking for an experience on getting up on a surfboard, this is the place to be.
